Hi, manchicken...

Things will get more refined around here over time. Points are well taken, things will be sharpened and de-shrilled as time permits. I'm hoping to enlist the help of many writers, your comments and insights are valuable to me.

Thanks for both comments, I agree 100% with Rev. Wright, which is why I put the video up.

By the way, as inflammatory as Rev Wright's words are, if you actually listen, he is right. Not only is he right, but he is preaching a message of peace. REAL peace, universal peace, fair peace, a peace for everybody. We must not--MUST NOT--allow our emotions of revile against the truth (and he DOES speak the truth) cloud our sensibilities. Rev Wright is correct, peace is ordained by God and the US has violated this peace as much as anybody else... if not more.

Hey, yeah, you're being too long-winded. You need to be more concise here. It's important not to hate these guys either. Mormons are a dangerous cult, but one of the lies they perpetuate that seems to be taking America by storm is that if you disagree with someone on moral grounds it is okay to hate them.

It's not okay to hate, period. Not gays, not Muslims, not Arabs, not Jewish people, not Catholics, not Mormons, not Christians, not atheists, not even Glenn Beck. Hate is wrong regardless of who and why... we must be mindful of this.

I'm a complete fool. I think of the world as a town hall, my own place to get teabagged and do the same with every other person.

It's my right as a teabagger to scream and howl at the moon, never thinking that there might be a sane person in the room who looks at my antics and thinks I'm a complete idiot.

I'm sorry I exist.

Hi, Paul...

Thanks for your advice and thoughtful comment.

The 9 Principles on my site were copied and pasted from 9/12 website. This is the link...
http://www.the912project.com/the-912-2/

I will agree that "Whacko yelling about whacko won’t do much". I am hoping to write better and more thoughtfully over time. I am also hoping that I can get thoughtful persons who can articulate better than me to participate in developing the content for this site. Some have shown interest, I am hoping they follow through. As someone Tweeted me, (paraphrasing) "Why would you want to put yourself through THAT?"

I just started this project over last weekend and have spent most of it trying to wrap my head around WordPress. I like WordPress, it's cool and they will even give you a free blog if you can't afford webhosting. Cool.

My guiding principle is to present factual information. The opinions are obviously going to vary, but we ought to be able to deal with facts. You mentioned "show me the money". As I have time, I would love to address how much money Beck is paid, how much the boycott has cost Fox (I heard a half million a week but can't verify it right now), and any relevant info about the change. I started a page about the boycott. Most of the information I have about that has come from other sources which I linked. I have no personal involvement in it except that I have made dozens of phone calls and sent dozens of emails to the 64 sponsors who have backed out of the show and those who are still hangin' with race-baiter Glenn Beck.

Well, again, thanks for your comment and I look forward to being steered by you again. Please realize that the content will be evolving on a regular basis; I really am just trying to juggle a lot right now.

Cheers,
Bill Wexler

Be cautious in your writing. I am in complete sympathy with your sentiments, but at times you seem as rabid as Beck. Whacko yelling about whacko won't do much. Let me offer a few criticisms, which hopefully you can find constructive.

Your links to support your statements are good, but they doesn't go far enough. For example you mention "make money" multiple times without any documentation about cash collected, items sold, income earned, advertising revenues gained or lost. Show me the money!

Looking here http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,488205,00.html I see a difference in the first principle. The Fox site says, "1. America is good place, not perfect, but good", you stopped after "good". Granted I haven't looked very far, but that link was first Google presented when searching "beck 9 principles".

Which brings up my final criticism/question... where did you get the Beck quotes following the principle? Which brings up a criticism on your God & George Washington principle 2. I concur that George Washington didn't mention God, but the Beck quote you offer doesn't imply that Beck says he did. "God 'The propitious smiles of Heaven...' ...address". The way I read it, Beck is attempting to saying that George implied God with the phrase "propitious smiles of Heaven".

Don't worry. I totally support 1st amendment, separation of church and state and firmly believe the founding fathers tried to avoid a theocracy, regardless of the words they may have used for God.

Keep up the good work.

When someone says we are a nation under God, why don't they realize that God means different things to different people. Protestant Christians can mostly agree about their God, but many of those Christian Protestants don't think the Catholics are Christians, or the Mormons either. Jehovah Witnesses also believe in Christ so they are technically Christian also. But everyone corners THEIR Christianity as the ONLY one, the RIGHT one.
The Italians call God Dio, the Islamists call him Allah, isn't He the SAME God?
I grew up when prayer was said in schools. They were Christian prayers. Even as a kid, I felt badly for the Jewish kids who had to stay and listen. Would our Christian kids want to sit and listen to Islamic or Jewish prayers? I Don't Think So.
One of the strengths of our USA is that it contains many religions, many views of God. Gee even in one Church, you can find different views of God. And it's our right to not believe in any God if we choose to, or believe in many Gods like the Hindu religion.

Glenn Beck sounds to me ike someone who has been indoctrinated into some religious cult. He separates himself from other's who may believe differently. If he was truly a Christian then he would embrase all the people in need, not just those who deserve (in his view) help. Jesus set that example many times.

Churches routinely inflate themselves as following the "right path" because they depend on and grow from the size of their congregations. Only the decerning Church member will see through this, otherwise they become the non-thinking sheep-followers and cease to have a personal relationship with their God.
Christianity is of course not the only religion to do this. But Beck certainly falls into this category.

I find it ironic that it's the Christians of this country who yell the loudest and want it their way. They trample on the rights of others in a most NON-Christian manner.
And just like the Churches who want more people in their congregation, I think Beck yells the loudest so he gets more followers. He may have one of those old Messiah Complexes. He may be in a Sect that allows their men to take a role as Preacher or some position of power.

He is above all, NOT a patriot. He encourages discord. He downplays the needs of others. He is an ego-maniac thinking he has all the answers and can correctly lead the masses to create a better government. Sad Man.
Think of all the GOOD he could do with that energy, encouraging others to reach out to those in need. Yes, very Sad Man.
