8/12/10 – Rand Paul’s Bizarre Pot-Bondage-Kidnapping “Prank”

Here's Rand Paul with his frat rat buddies at Baylor

Is Rand wondering where he can find his next pot/bondage victim? The frat "newspaper is called "The Rope".

A very interesting story has surfaced about Rand Paul, tucked away in a dark corner of an article in the August 10 online version of GQ. According to reporting by Jason Engerlie, a woman has come forward saying that she was blindfolded, tied up, kidnapped, and then unsuccessfully forced to take bong hits by fellow Baylor swim team member Rand Paul. The woman, who wished to remain anonymous because she is currently a practicing clinical psychologist, said that after Rand and his frat-rat friend failed to make her smoke pot, they drove her bound body out to a nearby creek, forced her onto her knees, and made her pray to “Aqua-Buddha”.

This is one of those stories that makes one take pause. It’s so off the wall that it hardly seems credible upon first glance. But there are a couple of pieces of evidence that lend it credence. First, Rand Paul was a rebel misfit at Baylor, a conservative Christian school in the buckle of the Texas Bible Belt. He was a member of a secret, un-approved fraternity called “NoZe”, which appears to this former member of Alpha Chi to be a group of rich, snotty brats who believe that they don’t have to take direction from anybody. You can find out more about these punks HERE . I think they were going for humor; if you see anything that makes you laugh, please let me know.

When Rand Paul wasn’t busy kidnapping, smoking pot, and NOT graduating from Baylor, he reportedly engaged in other NoZe pranks as well. One of them involved digging up a campus time capsule and too much alcohol. That one fell through when they just gave up after tipping over the monument on the site. After Anita Bryant made her famous announcement about oral sex, they made a poster of her photo with a hole where the mouth ought to be and marched it around campus.

Rand Paul's toupee almost has a life of it's own.

It's hard to take you seriously, Rand. Even for a Libertarian.

So his past behavior in NoZe does not prove that he tied up and kidnapped his swim teammate while hopped up on pot. However, it provides some context to Rand Paul’s mindset that supports the charge as not being totally out of character.

But the reaction of the Rand Paul organization to the story is what really makes it seem plausible. Wouldn’t the reaction of any innocent person be to denounce the story as utterly false and deny it from start to finish? Wouldn’t any normal, innocent person denounce that as reprehensible behavior and make a clear statement that they never, ever participated in any event remotely resembling what has been reported? Yet, here we are on the 3rd day after the story came out in GQ and there has been no denial. Instead, Paul’s campaign first threatened a libel suit against GQ and then tried to parse words with this statement of non-denial/denial:

“The more they throw at me, the more convinced I am that the leftists, statists and special interests are terrified that I will get to Washington,” Paul said in an e-mail to supporters, “Did you see their latest smear attacks yesterday? Let’s just say they give a bad name to tabloids.”

“They accused me of “kidnapping” someone when I was a teenager. It is, of course, untrue. I’m eagerly awaiting the story where they try to accuse me of having been abducted by aliens. Somehow, libelous smears by drive by journalists with a leftist agenda are considered “news” these days. It would be funny if it weren’t so tragic,”

I can see where this is going already; the account by the woman is going to be proven to be 100% true and Rand Paul is going to deny that they kidnapped her, claiming that she gave her consent to be tied up and driven somewhere to have a bong shoved in her face.

Stay tuned for updates.

TeaBagger founder Mark Williams admits: "I have shit for brains"

Mark Williams, who has crap in his cranium

Update 7/18/10 CNN is reporting today that Mark Williams has been ejected from the game by the “The National Tea Party Federation, an organization that represents the Tea Party political movement around the country” according to the report. After reading and posting to some material at Mother Jones just minutes ago, I believe that NO group can claim to speak for all the TeaBaggers. This group claims to be real grass roots, not Astroturf, and have actually expelled Tea Party Express, the GOP brain child of longtime GOPER operative Dick Armey.

Is this a real attempt to distance the TeaBaggers from the white power people and GOP or is it just a PR move? The answer remains to be seen. This is a story we will watch carefully and update as it unfolds.

On a personal note: The CNN staff who wrote this story totally neglected to condemn Mark Williams and his POS “email” as being one of the most disgusting, racist, diatribes to hit the national media in decades. Of course, these are the same people who kept Lou Dobbs on the payroll long after he became a national embarrassment. I guess they just want to stay “balanced” so they can compete with Faux.

To what do we owe our thanks for the existence of CNN? Why, of course, it’s the first Gulf War, where they had a corner on the video-game-like footage of people being blown to smithereens and the smirking Cheney taking the mic now and then to snark about those camel jockeys and how we were killing them with surgical precision. Thanks to Bush I for the Gulf War which totally confounded Saddam Hussein. Why? Because he was a CIA asset, a buttress against Iran, and also because Saddam asked a direct question to the US government about the US position on Kuwait/Iraq relations. The official State Department discussion between Saddam and April Catherine Glaspie from July 25, 1990:

US Ambassador Glaspie:

“I have direct instructions from President Bush to improve our relations with Iraq. We have considerable sympathy for your quest for higher oil prices, the immediate cause of your confrontation with Kuwait. (pause) As you know, I have lived here for years and admire your extraordinary efforts to rebuild your country (after the Iran-Iraq war). We know you need funds. We understand that, and our opinion is that you should have the opportunity to rebuild your country. (pause) We can see that you have deployed massive numbers of troops in the south. Normally that would be none of our business, but when this happens in the context of your other threats against Kuwait, then it would be reasonable for us to be concerned. For this reason, I have received an instruction to ask you, in the spirit of friendship – not confrontation – regarding your intentions. Why are your troops massed so very close to Kuwait’s borders?”

President Saddam Hussein:

“As you know, for years now I have made every effort to reach a settlement on our dispute with Kuwait. There is to be a meeting in two days; I am prepared to give negotiations only one more brief chance. (pause) When we (the Iraqis) meet (with the Kuwaitis) and we see there is hope, then nothing will happen. But if we are unable to find a solution, then it will be natural that Iraq will not accept death.”

US Ambassador Glaspie:

“What solution would be acceptable?”

President Saddam Hussein:

“If we could keep the whole of the Shatt al Arab – our strategic goal in our war with Iran – we will make concessions (to the Kuwaitis). But if we are forced to choose between keeping half of the Shatt and the whole of Iraq (which, in Iraq’s view, includes Kuwait), then we will give up all of the Shatt to defend our claims on Kuwait to keep the whole of Iraq in the shape we wish it to be. (pause) What is the United States’ opinion on this?”

US Ambassador Glaspie:

“We have no opinion on your Arab-Arab conflicts, such as your dispute with Kuwait. Secretary (of State James) Baker has directed me to emphasise the instruction, first given to Iraq in the 1960s, that the Kuwait issue is not associated with America.

July 16, 2010

I decided to start this new page today because of the totally unbelievable story I heard last night (7/15/10) about Mark Williams, founding member of the Tea Party Express (TeaBaggers Astroturf organization) and the supposedly “satirical” email he wrote to Abe Lincoln.

A bit of background. The NAACP is having its 101st National Conference and they passed a resolution to repudiate racist elements within the Tea Party. You can read the story from their website here.

Mark Williams is a pure-D white trash dickhead, to be sure. It figures that he would lead an element of the TeaBagging SOBs, the same skinheads and ignorant hillbillies that Glenn Beck appeals to. But as I heard this read on TV last night, I was totally scandalized and ASHAMED to think that any person with a public profile would write such absolute race-baiting bullshit and think it’s funny. How is this funny, Mark? There’s nothing funny at all about it. Humor is funny when it’s based on truth. Your humor is based on racist lies and smears. “Tom’s nephew”? WTF is your major malfunction, Williams? Does this insect not have an ounce of shame or empathy left in him?

Would you want to be remembered as the person who wrote THIS? Think about it.

Dear Mr. Lincoln

We Coloreds have taken a vote and decided that we don’t cotton to that whole emancipation thing. Freedom means having to work for real, think for ourselves, and take consequences along with the rewards. That is just far too much to ask of us Colored People and we demand that it stop!

In fact we held a big meeting and took a vote in Kansas City this week. We voted to condemn a political revival of that old abolitionist spirit called the ‘tea party movement’.

The tea party position to ‘end the bailouts’ for example is just silly. Bailouts are just big money welfare and isn’t that what we want all Coloreds to strive for? What kind of racist would want to end big money welfare? What they need to do is start handing the bail outs directly to us coloreds! Of course, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is the only responsible party that should be granted the right to disperse the funds.

And the ridiculous idea of ‘reduce the size and intrusiveness of government.’ What kind of massa would ever not want to control my life? As Coloreds we must have somebody care for us otherwise we would be on our own, have to think for ourselves and make decisions!

The racist tea parties also demand that the government ‘stop the out of control spending.’ Again, they directly target coloreds. That means we Coloreds would have to compete for jobs like everybody else and that is just not right.

Perhaps the most racist point of all in the tea parties is their demand that government ‘stop raising our taxes.’ That is outrageous! How will we coloreds ever get a wide screen TV in every room if non-coloreds get to keep what they earn? Totally racist! The tea party expects coloreds to be productive members of society?

Mr. Lincoln, you were the greatest racist ever. We had a great gig. Three squares, room and board, all our decisions made by the massa in the house. Please repeal the 13th and 14th Amendments and let us get back to where we belong.

  1. Thank you, I love your site.
I’ve felt like chicken little for the last 30 odd years, and reading your site helps to get rid of that sometime feeling that maybe its me that must be insane in this insane irrational world.
I am enjoying your great intelligence. At times, confirming what I think I know, and learning some more from the product of your obvious diligence.
Thank you, Thank you. Important work. I’m glad to see someone is dedicated enough to take the time and effort to do the hard (and at times, distastful) work.

  2. Thanks for your very kind words, Bryan.

You’re right about the distasteful part (and everything else, too). Sometimes it just grates on my sensibilities to listen to Beck’s show and try to keep up with all of the people in the periphery. It seems like he can churn up a new batch of lies and chatter them up every day.

There are a lot of other people who are doing their part. Quinlan and I are two of the many. I feel as if my country has been hijacked by people who can’t think any more, only react. So many Americans have so little time to stay up with current events, and even if they did the press is failing us miserably. Our country lives in a veil of propaganda where Fox News Corporation is now synonymous and an active financial supporter of the GOP. The response of papers like The NYT and WaPo has been to hire right wing columnists to nod to the idiotic notion that news and opinion has to be “fair and balanced”. A story has facts. They are not left wing nor right wing, they are facts. You don’t have to make up right wing talking points and present them as facts with equal weight as the real facts. That’s the problem with the so-called “MSM”.

Of course there are exceptions. Opinion shows on MSNBC fall into this category, as do web news sources Mother Jones, Truthdig, and DemocracyNow! There are others as well, but they are few and far between.

Oh, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the links on the right hand side of our page. I especially thank, who has taken the Beck sponsor fight to the wall and still keeps up the pressure.

Thank you again for your comment.

  3. A bit Idealistic. But (non dogmatic) lessons in civics, Propaganda (yes still an appropriate word), advertising (subset) and the like, to chomsky Etc…, from gradeschool to college level would be a help. History.
    Imagine that happening? Oh well.

More and more I seem to be illustrating to people how to question the questions, the framing, the false premises, and illuminating the techniques of manipulation. (and Fox has been just one beautifully fascinating, though painful illustration). To try to get people to the core of things. Some rational and critical thinking,. Something in short supply these days.

Equipped with these skills one doesn’t need all the time in the world to separate the wheat from the chaff. AND we have the internet and people like you to help.

Until the level is raised in this country, I’m afraid we continue to accelerate toward doom. My faith in humans is quite low these days. But not their potential. That is what is so sad to me. But I keep trying.

Looking foeward to a heavy dose of your site and those links (a few already familiar). Then maybe some withdrawal.

  4. Americans need to wake up the fact that Beck is simply another opinion pushing charlatan who is a product of mormon cult theology and he mixes this with his personal make up as a dry alcoholic. And for the record, he is a Mormon and not a Christian. As someone with a graduate degree in religion, I can say with all qualifications that Mormonism fits all parameters of a cult and has none of the parameters of a religion. A cult is any group (regardless of its size) that interprets the doctrines of a religion in an unorthodox fashion. The problem here is the fact the most Christians do not understand the difference and they easily fall for the lies of Mormon missionaries when they come to one’s door. On Beck’s radio show and Fox Network program he consistent demonstrates all the unstable behaviors of a dry alcoholic which include grandiosity, judgmentalism, intolerance, impulsivity, ADD and indecisiveness. Alongside that reality, Glenn Beck does not possess a single ounce of journalistic integrity, has no college degree, has no qualifications and he is definitely not a true conservative. But then, what can anyone expect from someone who can’t find anything filthier than their own personal reflection. Since people like Beck cannot survive on the basis of any personal merits, they survive by putting others down with lies and half truths in order to feel good about themselves. The truth about Beck is that he a dry mormon alcoholic who never got the counseling required for alcoholics. To further complicate things and confuse people, Beck flippantly throws around Christian terms like “God”, “Jesus”,”Holy Spirit” as well as voices of other so called “Spirit Powers” on his radio talk show. Beck is a mormon in active standing with the mormon church and is not a Christian. Mormonism teaches many gods, that the god of the earth was once a man who attained godhood status, there is no trinity, the cross of Christ means nothing and that Jesus Christ and Satan were brothers. Because Beck does not possess a single ounce of journalistic integrity, he is the perfect abortion poster child for Fox Network. The people who love what Beck says are no different than the impressionable sheep who loved every speech made by Adolph Hitler in his early years when he brought Germany into an era of economic prosperity These same sheep also blindly followed Hitler into one of the darkest chapters of world history. Beck and the Fox Network both cater to the same lowest common denominator of demagoguery. Beck would not know the first thing about God as he is a mormon. Someone should ask him which of the many mormon gods he kept talking about during his argument with himself on Saturday on the square in DC. Like a typical dry alcoholic, Beck even lied on national television when he spoke about holding a document signed by George Washington. That event never took Place. Unfortunately, people who love being led around by the nose do not realize that Beck is talking about a different god than that of Christianity, Judaism or Islam and that he has been a product of mormonism cultism from the day he started doing a radio talk show as an opinion pusher. You don’t have to have a degree in psychology to see that he exhibits all the signs of a dry alcoholic. The only reason this unstable impressionable idiot fell into mormonism was because the woman he wanted to have sex with would not do so unless they got first got married and from that point, they joined the mormon cult. Glenn Beck is as big a charlatan as Joseph Smith or that 5th grade graduate (Charles T Russell) who started the Jehovah’s Witness cult. This is Glenn Beck in a very accurate and concise nutshell. Considering the fact that Becks personal views are extreme Marxist Libertarian, his form of patriotism is false and he is a person who has no real substance or depth. It will not surprise many of us when Beck’s next big thing is to come out of the closet and announce his homosexuality to the nation. Simply put…he is just another predatory neocon who is pushing the buttons of very ignorant & impressionable people who love being told what to think and believe. We live in a period of history where it has become very socially acceptable to be stupid and follow extremist idiots like Glenn Beck, Adolph Hitler, Sarah Palin, Karl Rove, Dick Cheney and Rush Limbaugh. Chicanery and lies are their middle names.

  5. Hi, Dennis,

I am pretty much in complete agreement with you. HOWEVER, you know how there’s always an exception to every rule? I have a house guest with me tonight, a gent & his wife, haven’t seen the guy in 30 years. He’s always been one of the most intelligent and perceptive people I ever met. He owns a major corporation in the US and is worth millions.

We just got around to politics, and he says he likes Glenn Beck. I was just a bit surprised; I have a hard time believing that anyone with his experiences would give Beck the time of day, but he has always had a sort of apocalyptic view of the future, even 30 years ago. I am beat, I will try to address other points in your post tomorrow.

    Thanks for the comment.
