Thank you for the comment. I’m so sorry about your sister. I’ve had people close to me in the past who were followers of his or others, none quite as bad as your own though. Would you be willing to show her the Lies page here? If you could just sit with her, show her all the times that this “prophet of God” has lied to our faces, you could plant a seed of doubt. A lot of the time, that’s all it takes. Also, I don’t know what religion she is, but you might want to mention that he’s a Mormon. And a terrible one at that.

Well put site. I share your anger at this cult leader. The sad truth is that no opinions or facts put in any way will change his followers minds. They are authoritarians. My sister is a Beck follower and I was going freaking crazy debating with her, wondering why she couldn’t understand facts. One day she told me that Beck is a prophet and he was sent here by god to preach about the end times, she told me that she believes demons are working through me to shake her faith, this sent me off the deep end, of course. Then i found a book on authoritarianism, it helped to understand her thought process a lot. It explains, for example, how someone could comment on your site by saying you are using fear and hate to stir people up and create anger and disagreenment, without a single hint of irony. That person honestly does not see that Beck does that. You think they are being a smart ass, or they are just stupid, but they are not. Their brane will not let them see wrong in their authority, in this case Beck. I just wanted to share because, although it doesn’t at all change my anger at Beck, it truely helps me to not go crazy every day that people believe his BS.

I’m all for debunking the nutjob glenn beck, but i really think you need to better reference your beck quotes. date, show, time code, etc. that way we can see for ourselves what the original b.s. is.
