While I am not a liberal, I did vote for Obama and I sincerely hope that he turns around and does what is best for the country and the majority of it's citizens. Moore is right about Obama using what he has while he has it. The Republicans have found a common enemy for themselves and a good portion of the whites in America, and that enemy is Obama. They couch it in several terms, but it all boils down to racism. I never thought I'd live to see white Americans revert to racial attitudes that I thought were dead, but we can't deny what has happened. I remember my Dad and uncles changing partys back in the 60s because of the Civil Rights Act, and I remember why. It's the "southern stratagy" all over again, but this time on a national scale. It makes me sick to hear people who I thought were open-minded Christians say the things they say. It makes me ashamed to be considered one of them.

The outright lies that Beck spews like a Tommy gun are the ones that I find puzzling. I think he has adopted the hubris of the GOP, namely, that people who listen to him are too stupid to know fact from fiction.

Rush Limbaugh has been making a living in the lying business for years. Beck and Limbaugh are cut from the same cloth; they both demonize liberals, they both keep pushing the GOP to the right, they both lie incessantly, and they both spin up wild conspiracy theories that can't possibly be true and then they just ignore them when proven false or they don't happen. It's show biz, the worst perversion of opinion journalism I've ever seen. And I lived during Dr. Carl McIntyre's and listened to his radio show.

In my opinion, the fix to all of this lying and smearing is to reinstate the Fairness Doctrine. I would like to see a version where anyone who is attacked by some media personality would have the legal right to have equal time to defend themselves at no cost to them. I believe this would be great entertainment and it would keep these gum-flapping bastards honest.

Thanks for the comment.

I hate the fact that all organized religions (including Islam and Christianity) brainwash people into blindly following a particular ideology. Where is the freedom to think? Why can't the people be free to believe in God in their own personal way, according to the particular experiences of their life? Where is the spirituality if the believers just stick to a belief system without exercising their own judgment? Organized religions are just plain hogwash aimed at establishing political supremacy of one group of people over others. The only thing they promote is to make your thought process subservient to another (prophet, monk, mullah, priest, etc.). No one can find God through organized religion.

It's not the interpretive lies that are telling. It's the out and out lies that give are the true measure of of one's integrity. Two examples-Beck stated that he saw Barbara Walters and, I think Whoopee, getting special treatment in seating on the train in New York, which is not allowed. The idiot must have forgotten that he was slated to be on "The View" a week later. The "girls' damn near had him crying after he admitted he was cordial to Mrs. Walters and was just sensationalizing. He admitted there was no truth to what he reported on his radio show. The next day he then repeated his lie. No interpretation here, he admitted on National TV he made the whole thing up.That is the nth degree of loss of integrity. An aside-Neal Cavuto during a tea party rally in Atlanta was filmed by an independant station asking his assistant how many people were estimated to be at the rally. He was told-about 5000 ( the expected amount). He immediately stood up, and on Fox News, said that there were at least 2 to 3 times that number there. This is simply epgregious lying without apology on straight "news". How can anyone trust them?

Susan, you should seek some help because you can't hold up your end of the argument with a crutch. You keep changing the subject.

You are the person who made this personal when you told me that my language made me seem less intelligent. Remember?

If not, just look back a couple of posts.

You failed.

You failed to prove that Van Jones is a radical.

You failed to prove that William Ayers is a radical. You also failed to show that there is any connection between Ayers and Obama that would even be called casual.

You failed to answer my replies about Reverend Wright, other than to parrot back one phrase from one sermon he gave.

In shourt, FAIL.

Nobody gives a rat's ass what you watch, read, or, by now, I would assume, "think". You've proven yourself to be a functional illiterate, in that you cannot follow the stream of a discussion in text. You also cannot help yourself from turning the argument away from the facts and into a stream of personal attacks and innuendo. Do you work for Faux News, by any chance?

Glenn Beck is a serial liar and your characterizations of what he says as "exaggerations" is bullshit. You cannot possibly be a critical thinker and come to the conclusion that Beck is remotely connected with reality. Which of these things is not like the other? Hitler, Mussolini, Pol Pot, Progressives. Did you get "Progressives"? Probably not if you are a Glenn Beckerhead, which you appear to be.

Did you get my goat? Hmmm, let me think about that for a minute. BZZZZT. Another FAIL, Susan. All you have done is managed to make yourself look like an idiot. You said I don't respect points of view from people who listen to his show. Not exactly, Susan. I don't respect points of view from people who can't think critically enough to know that GOP talking points repeated every day by Glenn Beck are not only not true, they're LUDICROUS.

The left is angry, that's one thing you picked up on. We're not just "angry liberals" that can be lumped into a group. Some of us are outraged by the assault on human decency, the Constitution, and the common American citizen presided over by the man you undoubtedly voted for twice. This country is in the midst of a number of crises brought on by decades of center-right and right-wing abuses on the population. If you look outside your window and see people in the street carrying guns, are they going to be liberals or TeaBaggers? Hah! Gotcha! Liberals believe in the processes that have been presented to us, we believe that there needs to be a sea change in our government, but we don't believe that it's going to be done through revolution. I have never met any liberal in the last 50 years who has suggested that we need to get into the streets with guns. So where did you pull up that factoid?

Well, you pulled it out from between your generous buttocks, Susan. Again you FAIL, because you project your disinformation over the discussion like Union Carbide in Bhopal. You're a failure, not only because you're wrong, but because you're ignorant. For example, you cite NPR as something you listen to because most people of your right-wingnut bias think that it's "liberal". NPR hasn't been liberal since the middle of Clinton's first term when Newt Gingrich's Congress threatened to pull the plug on CPB funding unless they turned right. Of course, you wouldn't know that because you don't pay attention, so you just keep spewing that you listen to NPR like it's some kind of ameliorating explanation as to why you're not a complete righty asshole. FAIL.

I think I've about had it with your bullshit, Susan. I'm tired of having to sift through a shit stew of your babbling personal attacks and lies. In fact, I think liberals are really tired of right wing bullshit in general. We're tired of 24/7 right wing lie machines funded by an Australian immigrant opportunistic pirate. We're tired of the greatest weatlh redistribution orchestrated by a government in the history of the world which has pushed 50 per cent of the nation's wealth up to the top 1% of obscenely wealthy individuals. We're tired of wars that don't need to be fought. We're tired of the GOP trying to use wedge issues to get people to vote against their own best interests. We're tired of simplistic, moronic, seemingly endless repetition of inaccurate and dangerous lies by people like you.

You've got one more failure coming.

You're banned from this site.
