UPDATE 7/29/10

Shirley Sherrod announced Thursday that she is suing Andrew Breitbart for posting a video that led to her firing from the USDA. Breitbart is a well-known right wing fraud whose name keeps popping up whenever a smear campaign against a politically active black person hits the headlines.

Following the last in a series of media-generated political crises, namely the firing of Shirley Sherrod over totally false and deliberately manipulated videotape, President Obama put on his “Decider” hat and wheeled into action. This is exactly what the progressives have been waiting for, a President who is Fired Up and Ready to Go. This is the man for whom millions sent in their pennies in campaign donations, stood on frozen street corners handing out flyers, knocking on doors, and spending hours in phone banks urging people to vote for Change You Can Believe In.

In a tersely worded statement read in the Rose Garden late last night, President Obama appointed Glenn Beck to be his administration’s HR Czar.  The appointment takes effect immediately and the duration of it was not stated.  Obama walked up to the microphone and read the following:

By the special powers left to the President by the last administration, I am hereby declaring a political emergency.   During an emergency the President may create new positions  by Executive Order.  Tonight, I signed an Executive Order creating the position of White House Director of Human Resources.  This position will be responsible to make sure that all hiring and firing decisions are carefully weighed for their political effect before being executed.  I have entrusted this critical national political security job to Dr. Glenn Beck.  His political HR expertise is well-documented, having been directly involved with Van Jones, ACORN, Cynthia McKinney, and lately, Shirley Sherrod.

There will be no questions.

Glenn Beck was unavailable for a statement, but Stu was reached via telephone. When asked about the appointment, he said “Wha… who is this? Glenn’s in trouble again? Look, ah, this isn’t the best time…. I’ll get back to you. Gimmie a sec… I’ll get something to write on. What time is it? Are you with the government? How’d you get this number… hang on…” After that the connection was lost.

The Glenn Beck Report would like to congratulate Dr. Beck, the President, and of course we must also give a BIG SHOUTOUT to the jello-spined lazy-ass media who can’t be bothered to fact check a story from proven liar Andy Breitbart. You may remember Andy’s tromp onto the world’s stage by feeding the media frenzy over James O’Keefe’s doctored “pimp” video. This totally unbelievable video, which supposedly “proved” that ACORN was tampering with voter registration and welfare fraud for illegal immigrants, was a fake. Never mind that the video was proven to be doctored and the California Attorney General dismissed it as non-evidence of anything. Nonetheless, the video sent the herd of Democrat mastodons right over the cliff. Breitbart sent his Boy Wonder James O’Keefe out again, this time to tap the phones at Louisiana Senator Mary Landrieu’s office. O’Keefe was busted, then arrested on January 25, 2010 on felony charges. O’Keefe got lucky… he was sentenced to 3 years probation, 100 hours of community service, and a $1500 fine for the same offense that G. Gordon Liddy and others served years in federal prison after Watergate. Breitbart was caught again in June 2010 with another doctored video that purported to expose census fraud. This one was so bad that even Faux ignored it.

So when the Shirley Sherrod story “broke”, and it was sourced to Brietbart, did anyone in the media or the White House even bother to think about the track record and motives of Brietbart and Faux News? Of COURSE not. That would require some common sense and a tiny bit of courage. Faux News picked up the story and started repeating and amplifying it into a fake furor of epic proportions. It is being reported that the White House pulled the plug on MS Sherrod because of the threat of Glenn Beck doing an entire show on the Obama Administration’s racism. I guess we know who the most powerful man in the world really is, don’t we?

If the White House is unwilling or unable to take on Glenn Beck over a proven falsehood, what are they good for? What would happen if there was a real crisis that required immediate attention, such as a terrorist attack? Would they pull another “READY, SHOOT, AIM” stunt like this? Are we living in an age where people like Tom Vilsack can demand your resignation from you while you’re driving your car? Without even 5 minutes of face time? Over your friggin’ Blackberry? These are sad and dangerous times, indeed. I wonder what would happen if we had a serious confrontation with Iran or North Korea; would the President anticipate Faux News’ coverage of his actions and then act accordingly? Or would the White House team actually wait until they have enough facts to make a decision?

What does it mean for America when your government can’t even wait a few hours to get the facts out of fear of a pack of known liars and buffoons? I guess that means you’ll have to rely on sites like this, and the links I posted at the right, and the links on those sites. You know damn well you will not get it from the “lamestream” media (thanks for another new word, Sarah). They have sold out and sent their reporters packing. Now we have a few craven executives sitting around a table with their accountants trying to figure out what the story line is and how it will affect their viewership and advertising revenue. Now we have “liberal” news and “conservative” news.

When I was a kid I got a small transistor radio and I was amazed that I could get skip radio from all over the nation at night. I dreamed of the science fiction days of instant communication everywhere on the planet. Well, we have it. Our species took the age of instant communications and created the most uninformed and misinformed society our nation has ever seen.

And to me, this is disgusting.

On Faux News Sunday July 18, Howard Dean and Newt Gingrich got into it about whether or not Faux News had caused the Shirley Sherrod firing. Chris Wallace appeared to stun Howard Dean when he pointed out that nobody on Faux had uttered Shirley Sherrod’s name before the firing. But that’s not really the point, Chris. Faux has been pushing the “black racism” story line ever since Reverend Wright or even back to the Iowa Caucus. Why do you think Van Jones resigned and ACORN was ruined? I’ll tell you… because Democrats understand that there will be a race-based food fight every chance the right gets and we all know what the narrative is. Black nationalist Marxist wealth redistribution reparations. Coloreds. These are the words that Faux uses to discuss racial issues.

The White House got word that Beck was planning to do a show on black racism and passed it along to Sherrod that she was going to be on the Glenn Beck show. It is unknown HOW they got the information, but Beck’s protest that he was not going to do a show on her is pure bullshit. Here’s the story on Huffington Post:

The fact is that he indeed DID do a show on her, and called her a racist and told his audience that she should not have been fired, she should have been offered another job as some kind of czar because she fits right in:

Those are obviously racist comments that deserved to be condemned. But Sherrod was forced to resign before even being allowed to give her side of the story which, allegedly, is that she was just telling a story of an event that took place 24 years ago and, in fact, she is now friends with that farmer and she was only telling the story to show that she’s learned her lesson that it’s not about race, it’s about who has and who has not….

So, it’s about rich vs. poor. Based on that belief, Shirley shouldn’t be fired, she should be promoted in this administration. Make her green jobs “czar.” Make her the regulatory “czar” or manufacturing “czar” or the energy “czar” or director of Medicare/Medicaid. She fits right in with nearly all of Obama’s appointments. Why didn’t the USDA and Barack Obama wait until they knew all of the facts?

Just when you might have thought the Becktardosis had reached its peak, by Beck fantasizing about having nookie with his sister and claiming that he owns civil rights, it gets BETTER!  That’s what I love about having a Glenn Beck website…. there is an unending fountain of bubbly, crazy goodness!

In the video below, some woman named Robin Potwora, spokeshole for a group that calls itself “Main Street Bites Back”,  postulates that Glenn Beck would be a good President because since HE doesn’t want to be President, and GEORGE WASHINGTON didn’t want to be President, ergo, Glenn Beck would be as good of a President as George Washington!  LOL this is totally priceless!  Enjoy!

Now I am definitely not a slave to fashion, and I would be the first person to stand up and defend anyone who is being criticized over that which is ‘skin deep’, namely the way somebody looks.  However, I just have to ask:  are we sure that this person is an Earthling?

This unfortunate alien-type (thank you, Devo!) won the bronze in Keith Olbermann’s “Worst Persons In The World” segment last night. Geez, Keith, I think she’s cracked, and her logic is hopelessly broken, and so on. But that’s just because she misses her family back on Planet Zorkon.

I went to visit the site http://www.mainstreetbitesback.com/ and I was left with the impression that it was created by unemployed conservative comedians and animation workers who have a lot of racial angst on their hands and too much time to express it. The site automatically starts playing a cartoon of Barack Obama talking about how he’s their unlikely pitch man but he’s going to be needing a job in 3 years so he’s trying to build his resume. (Oh, that’s pure hilarity!) “Barack” goes on to say that he wants everybody to do shout outs. I’m not sure WTF he means by that. I think it’s something Sarah Palin made up, and since there are a certain number of Palin-loving idiots I can see how the phrase would gather a small following.

OK, now I’ve been there, I can tell you that the site is nothing more than a blatant moneymaking scheme running off of Glenn Beck’s name. Call it a “cottage industry”. The site is utterly devoid of any real content; there is no explanation given about why they think Beck would be a better candidate than anyone else. Oh, I know, it’s because we’re groupies! LOL, please call them today and let them know how much you appreciate and support their idea of Beck for President. Think of the gift to all the other candidates! Beck has more walking-around money than it takes to run. He’s got the Mormons behind him. He’s got the Xtians behind him. He’s got about 1 million viewers behind him. He’s going to beat Obama. What could go wrong?

Michael Weiner, aka “Mike Savage”, cursed the bee-jeezus out of Glenn Beck which I first reported about in October 2009 HERE. During the curse Dr. Savage (Doctor of Wienerology?) called Glenn a “hemorrhoid with eyes” and cursed him to be “gone from the airwaves” in 90 days”.

Well, I’m not a HUGE fan of Dr. Wiener/Savage, but you know the old saying “Is the enemy of my enemy my friend”? Well, no. Doc Wiener is never going to be my friend, because I don’t befriend fascist, reactionary, ignorant, loud mouths who lie like dogs and write their own history as they go along. However, since he did curse the subject of this blog, it must be taken into consideration.

The original curse expired January 21, 2010. I graciously granted Beck a 90 day extension, because I didn’t think he’d be off the air by then. It’s hard to get this cursy-worsy thingie down to an accurate science, so we shouldn’t be too hard on Dr. Wiener for missing it by 90 or 180 days.

Anyway, I’ve been debating it, mulling it over, so to speak, and I just want to let Glenn know that The Glenn Beck Report is 100% behind you, Glenn, so look behind you wherever you go. We will probably extend your show so you don’t have to be off the air like Dr. Wiener says you do. He’s a nasty old Gentile anyway, not a wholesome Mormon boy like you.

Glenn Beck has made a colossal misjudgment by attempting turn the most pivotal speech of the 20th Century into an attempt to hawk his moronic books.

Forty-seven years ago this August, as we neared the end of legal racial discrimination in this nation, the civil rights battle was being waged in the trenches. Black and white marchers were being attacked and sometimes killed in the streets by mobs of white supremacists and the KKK. College students organized and disrupted business-as-usual in selected towns across the country. The intellectuals, socialists, anarchists, musicians, and clergy across the spectrum of left politics joined with black civil rights leaders to pressure the US Government to intervene on behalf of racial minorities to pass national legislation to outlaw racial discrimination in employment, public services, and elsewhere.

Into this rich sea of civil disobedience, protests, riots, lynchings, music, murder, and mayhem, a new historical revision is being trotted out by Glenn Beck and a few others who are shameless enough to try it. Here’s how it goes, according to Beck:

I have to tell you something. I believe in divine providence. I believe this is a reason, because whites don’t own the founding fathers. Whites don’t own Abraham Lincoln. Blacks don’t own Martin Luther King.

I tell you right now, we are on the right side of history, we are on the side of individual freedoms and liberties and damn it, we will reclaim the civil rights moment. We will take that movement because we were the people that did it in the first place.

Oh, so let’s see now, you’re saying that since nobody “owns” Abraham Lincoln or Dr. King due to being the same race, then the reactionary white racists of today led by the TeaBaggers, the GOP (former Dixiecrats), the 2nd Amendment pukes like the OathKeepers, homophobes and religious fanatics, can now take credit for civil rights???? Not only take credit for it, not only own it, but be the guardians of civil rights!

Beck says that his people, whomever they are, are going to “reclaim” the civil rights movement. He says they will reclaim it because “we were the people that did it in the first place.”

Let me interject one thing here. This is a partial rewrite of what I posted last night, and I didn’t have a couple of those quotes I used above. But let me assure you since I was THERE, I can attest to the plain truth that Glenn Beck and anyone who is like him today, if they were involved at all, were on the other side of the barricade.

Al Sharpton was the guest on Keith Olbermann’s show tonight (July 1) and the topic came around to the Glenn Beck book sale in the general area of the Lincoln Memorial scheduled for August 28. This coincides, not by any coincidence, with the 47th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King’s “I Have A Dream” speech, one of the most powerful and best-remembered speeches in American history. 200,000 civil rights movement supporters heard the speech live, jamming the Memorial and the reflecting pool mall with a sea of humanity that has only been outdone by Barack Obama’s Inaugural Address.

Mr. Sharpton pointed out that Beck’s thesis that his people are the heirs to the civil rights movement is so flawed as to be ridiculous. And he did it without even bringing up the racial issues (such as the fact that Mormons believe that black people are cursed by God and refused to let them enjoy the privileges of male membership until forced to in 1978). First, according to Sharpton, the TeaBaggers and such are the people who are always railing against Big Government, and now Beck is revising that to say that they were in favor of the national government of the US intervening in every aspect of Jim Crow to stop it. How effing stupid would you have to be to swallow THAT? Second, the people that Dr. King ran with were socialist, liberals, commies, and other people who are the political opposite of what the Becktards believe in. They constantly scream about “liberal elitists” and see “socialist plots” in any action that the government takes.

Thirdly, and probably most importantly, is that the GOP, the TeaBaggers, and their ilk, are the Party of Grabbasticism. They are not “anti-socialism” they are ANTI-SOCIAL. They have no idea whatsoever, no concept, of living in a community, a nation, with the commitment to each other that we all sink or swim together.

Grabbasticism is the term I like to use for “I got mine, SCREW YOU.” They never gave a crap about any person of color, back in 1863, 1963, or today. The only use they have for Latinos is doing yard work and working in nursing homes cleaning shit out of the diapers of their parents, whom they have no use for whatsoever once the inheritance is decided. The only use for blacks, well, they have NO use for them now that slavery is illegal. The GOP looks at black people as The Enemy. They will never vote GOP, never.

I will write more on Beck’s cracked thesis that he now leads the movement that “owns” civil rights as the August 28th date approaches. I believe that this is a HUGE miscalculation on his part; although there is no planned counter-demonstration at this time, I predict that August 28 will be a national day of humiliation that will generate so much anti-Beck backlash that even Fox will have to pull the plug on it.

Glenn Beck is going to play his hand. For a cheap chance to gather up a few complete idiots willing to part with their money, he is going to open up the wounds that were healed by the Civil Rights Act or 1964. He is going to make America relive the ugly truth, he is going to make us look in the mirror. Some of us will not like what we see.

Today Glenn tried to prove a couple of idiotic points about a dead person. (Just a thought, Glenn… I know you think you’re going to live forever, but what do you think people are going to say about you and your sister-screwing ass after you’re gone?)

OK so here’s the scoop. Beck thinks that it’s a “liberal media plot” that there is no film of Senator Robert Byrd filibustering the Civil Rights Act in 1964. First the fact, then the assumption.

The FACT is that no cameras were allowed in the Senate except for special occasions until 1974. Um, what’s the word I’m looking for here… um, IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, you DO ALL YOUR OWN RESEARCH, DO YOU???? Has anyone told you about Google, Glenn?

Now for the assumption. The assumption here is part of Glenn’s bigger argument that Byrd filibustered Civil Rights, and Byrd was a Democrat, and THEREFORE, (are you paying attention, Beck U students? This will be on the FINAL!) the GOP especially Glenn Beck OWNS Civil Rights!

The NAACP “report card” gave Byrd a 100% voting record for 2003-2004. This may affect Beck’s report card at the University of Truth.

Welcome Aboard, Qu1n1an

At Glenn Beck Report we have very few moments of celebration. We certainly have plenty of mirth, but not too much to celebrate. It’s hard to feel very celebratory when there’s a nutjob on the loose egging people on to load up their guns and commit treason.

However, today is special! I have been fortunate enough to enlist the help of Qu1n1an, whom I met at the OathKeepers “10 Orders We Will Disobey” thread. (Now could this be social networking of the most unintended kind? Heheh, chomp on it Stewart Rhodes).

Qu1n1an is an atheist, which also happens to be my mode of rational thinking. They (I am using the word “they” because I have not met this person and therefore I am not assuming any gender) are a patriotic defender of reality and the Constitution, which gets the OathKeepers panties in a knot every time. Qu1n1an is much more polite than I am, and I am assuming therefore that s/he has much more patience. I just read the first blog post and Qu1n1an shows little patience for homophobia in specific and GOPERs in general.

We are grateful for the help to make GlennBeckReport better and more informative. The goal of this non-profit spot on the internet is to promote understanding of the political climate as it is being poisoned by the right wing gasbags like Glenn Beck. Glenn Beck FAILS

Just when Glenn Beck thought it was safe to throw another frog into the boiling water, he got more bad ratings news. Some say that Glenn is so shaken by this that instead of barking he is actually going to run around the set with his arms flapping like gills screaming “I’m a guppie, I’m a guppie….”

On to the facts:

According to TVByTheNumbers, Beck’s show lost 25% of his total viewership in May and 23% in the demographic. This is despite his claims that he actually increased viewership in May.

The dispute about Beck’s ratings came up after it was reported (correctly) HERE that Beck had lost 1 million viewers in the last 9 months. So, whatever he had left just dropped by another 25%.

Who can say for sure why Glenn is flopping like a crappie? Is it his constant stream of lies? His growing insistence that there is a government conspiracy out to “get” him? His channeling of Cleon Skousen, infamous Mormon crackpot who never met a conspiracy theory that he didn’t invent and saw a commie behind every bush? Is it his cracked “history” lesson on “Founders Friday” which is more like Fractured Fairy Tales from Rocky and Bullwinkle? Is it his unholy alliance between the Mormon cult and Falwell’s Liberty University?

Who knows? But as Americans see Glenn Beck as more cracked and less relevant, I have to wonder if I’ll have to renew this domain name next September. By then, perhaps Rupert Murdoch will have figured out that Beck is dragging his already un-credible network into La-La-Land and that he can’t afford him… either the cracked ratings or the black hole of a money pit the show has become.

If Anthony Wiener’s attempt to regulate hawking gold on TV bears any fruit, Beck may well be completely out of sponsors. Then what?

Al and Tipper Gore announced today that they are planning to divorce.

Given that Glenn Beck is a full-time hypocrite about “leaving the family out of it”, and given that he is prone to attacking advocates of issues rather than the issue itself, and given that he’s bat-shit crazy, we here at The Glenn Beck Report can confidently say that Glenn will begin a new attack on Al Gore as soon as today (June 1).

I will be following this story closely and report what he says as it flows from his lying mouth like poop from a goose. Maybe he’ll do a little skit about it, like he did when he was imitating Malia Obama asking her dad why he “hates white people so much”. Oh, but leave the children out of it.

I have a couple of other stories in the hopper. I want to report on why Falwell’s Liberty University, a fundamental “Christian” college, had Mormon cultist Glenn Beck deliver the commencement address. Also, I’m working on my “Glenn Beck – Domestic Terrorist” page which will clarify exactly how and why Glenn Beck is advocating the overthrow of the US government. And, still in the works, “Glenn Beck VS the Fundie Xtians”, part 3. This has been complicated by Glenn’s commencement speech at Liberty U. I believe I have already solved that riddle, and will be reporting on the alliance made in hell.

Instead of taking on Al and Tipper directly, Glenn Beck put up a link to a Newsbusters story (right wingnut lying sacks of shit) that states that CBS News thinks Al & Tipper broke up because of George W. Bush.

Perhaps Glenn has learned his lesson about taking people on for family matters. I don’t think so. He’s not done with Al and Tipper Gore just yet. I have a hunch he’ll try to sneak some more loathsome attacks in later. I’ll be watching you, Glennie…

William W. Wexler, in a sweeping display of magnanimous generosity seldom seen in the hardball world of Mormon politics, has granted Glenn Beck a temporary stay of banishment from the airwaves.

Glenn Beck’s media career death sentence was handed down by Michael Wiener “Savage” (oooh, you SAVAGE!) during an interview he gave for cable TV in October of last year. Dr. Wiener called Beck “a hemorrhoid with eyes” (who the hell am I to argue with a doctor about anatomical abnormalities?) and predicted that he would be “gone from the airwaves” in 90 days or less. Since then, the clock expired twice and Glenn Beck is still on the air! Some of us wonder how that can be, since he has no sponsors at all in the UK and over 100 sponsors have pulled out of his US shows on Faux “News” Channel and Mercury Radio stations. So how is it that a known liar with paranoid delusional fantasies and a chalkboard famous for yielding up secret messages that only Glenn can interpret for us can stay on the air? Nobody at Faux News is denying that Glenn Beck is having an affair with Rupert Murdoch, who nobody is denying has a thing for young blonds.

At any rate, Glenn, I have decided to give you another 90 days. Sorry I had to block you on Twitter today, but if you unblock me I’ll unblock you. Did you know that there is Marxist art available on the American internet!?!!?! Obama must have put it there personally, as I do not recall ever seeing it there before now! Imagine, the President trying to turn the nation into a peasant nation of socialist slaves! Oh my GAWD! Americans are being brainwashed into believing that Marxism is just a funny JOKE! What are we thinking? Our children, what about our children, laughing at slapstick while the guy with the duck-on-a-rope is plotting to take over the WORLD!

Karl Marx stated that the history of society is the history of class struggle.  Can anyone deny that since Ronald Reagan took office we have been doing exactly the same thing here in America?  I would entertain arguments that we have been fighting this fight long before Reagan, but as a child of the 50s, I sure see the balance of power shifting markedly up the food chain after Reagan’s inauguration.  During Bush’s term the population had to be held in check by fear, even as Bush’s banditos rode out of town with the loot in September 2008.  Now it’s becoming clearer exactly how the American economy was hijacked and ripped off.  The GOP seems to have taken sides with Wall Street, which is where Libertarians are as well.  No government regulations, right?  So where does that leave the Average Joe TeaBagger?

I’ll tell you where.  This is now the perfection of cognitive dissonance in a political movement.  In order to be a TeaBagger, you have to believe that the government should stay out of regulating the banks and financial institutions that have stolen the country blind.

In the week before the April 19 armed march on Washington (to commemorate Waco and the celebrate the Oklahoma City bombing),  there have been numerous attempts to revise and whitewash history.  Now that the right wing has lost any political credibility, they have been pushed further to the right and mesmerized by the mindless yammering of the cynical and insane loudmouths in the right wing media.  Glenn Beck is the combination of cynicism and insanity.  His brain is malfunctioning from years of drug and alcohol abuse, a lousy home life, untreated mental illness, and membership in a cult (Mormons).

I am working up a page of Glenn Beck quotes to document his calls to the faithful for treasonous and murderous acts against the legally elected government of the United States.  The following is an excerpt from an email I received from David Swanson, author of the book Daybreak – Undoing the Imperial Presidency and Forming a More Perfect Union.  David Swanson is the co-founder of the After Downing Street Coalition, which describes themselves as

…  a nonpartisan coalition of over 200 veterans groups, peace groups, and political activist groups that has worked since May 2005 to pressure both Congress and the media in order to hold Bush, Cheney, and their aides accountable for crimes and abuses of power. The coalition takes its name from the emergence in May and June of 2005 of several documents that quickly came to be known as the Downing Street Memos.

Daybreak is an excellent book which I would recommend for anyone who is interested in repairing the damage done to our government through decades of laziness and inattention by the electorate.  This book documents the problems and proposes solutions.  I would suggest that the TeaBaggers who look to Glenn Beck ought to do a little bit of research so they have some ideas instead of just running around with guns like a mob waving Gadsden flags and signs with pictures depicting the President as Hitler.  Obviously, they are clueless.  This book would be a good place for them to get a clue.

But I digress. Here’s the quote from David Swanson’s email that I thought was appropriate for the ignorant, Astro-turfing, racist traitors that will be in the streets on Monday, April 19 celebrating Waco and the Oklahoma City bombing.

You didn’t get mad when Cheney allowed Energy company officials to dictate energy policy.

Yes, illegal wars, lies, corruption, torture, stealing your tax dollars to make the rich richer, are all OK with you but helping other Americans… well fuck that.

UPDATE 4/15/10

After having a day or so to reflect on the above post, I thought a couple of updates were in order.

First off, Rachel Maddow did a great job of clarifying the marches last night in the set up for her interview with Homeland Security Czar Janet Napolitano. There is one armed march, one with no guns. Apparently the Capitol Police will not allow gun-toting maniacs into the nation’s public square. However, there will still be one armed march across the river to the point where Astro-turfers believe they can provoke and threaten the US Government (meaning you and me) as much as they want.

Secondly, the Oathkeepers, a group of self-proclaimed protectors of the People (excellent article about them in Mother Jones) have dropped out of the armed march. Apparently they thought some of the rhetoric was too inflammatory. I dunno, if it’s too inflammatory for Oathkeepers, a group that swears to disobey legal orders from superiors in the military and police force, I’m not sure with whom the TeaBaggers will resonate. The ghost of Benito Mussolini?

Thirdly, the link at AfterDowningStreet given above contains the excerpt that I posted. However, it goes on to equally scold the Democrats, who are another wholly-owned subsidiary of Corporation World USA. I chose to use the section above because it is so apropos for the TeaBagger wingnuts in the street.

Lastly, there is a larger point here and I want to make sure it’s not missed. Those of you who get it, please forgive me while I slap those who don’t get it in the face with a large, wet trout. The reason why y’all suddenly got religion over the Constitution is because they’s a darkey in the White House.

David Frum is a well-known figure in the conservative political world. His last big gig was speechwriter for George W. Bush. Here is his reaction to those who approached health care reform by lying about it, reviling it, inserting outrageous amendments into it, and never, ever, EVER intending to cast a vote for it (or support it in any way). You might have seen some of these people at your town halls this summer, or Glenn Beck’s 1000 man march, or on the evening news with guns and holsters strapped to their legs, holding signs depicting Obama as Hitler or The Joker, yelling racial epithets, and claiming the the Democrats won’t be happy until there are Death Panels to kill you, your grandparents, and your children.

Here’s what David Frum says to YOU… (Listen up, Glennie-boy, he’s talking about YOU).

“No illusions please: This bill will not be repealed. Even if Republicans scored a 1994 style landslide in November, how many votes could we muster to re-open the “doughnut hole” and charge seniors more for prescription drugs? How many votes to re-allow insurers to rescind policies when they discover a pre-existing condition? How many votes to banish 25 year olds from their parents’ insurance coverage? And even if the votes were there – would President Obama sign such a repeal?

We followed the most radical voices in the party and the movement, and they led us to abject and irreversible defeat.

Hmmm. “The most radical voices in the party and the movement.” I wonder WTF he could be talking about.

Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Mike Weiner Savage, Laura Ingram, John Boehner, Michelle Bachmann, Steve King, Eric Cantor, Virginia Foxx, Gretchen Carlson, Bill O’Reilly… the list is seemingly endless.

Frum is exactly right. The intellectual, moderate conservative movement has been shoved out the door by radical politicians and talk show hosts and the radical political entrepreneurs who host them on the airwaves. Rupert Murdoch and Gold Bond powder.

You tried everything you could to kill health care. You made up lies about it. You hired slick PR firms to come up with half a billion dollars worth of negative TV about it. You chatted it up endlessly as socialism, communism, baby-killing, anti-American, un-Constitutional, unnecessary, invasion of privacy, and so on. You lied. Oh, the lies were grand, the conspiracy theories were exquisite, and the whole lot of it did no good for you at all.

FAIL.
