Glenn compares WH pushback against Faux to Holocaust
As I reported below, Glenn told us yesterday that he was going to “run a whole series of shows” on White House Communications Director Anita Dunn’s comments about Fox News and its relationship to the GOP.
Well, at least he wasn’t lying about that. Today he began pleading for help from other news organizations, fracturing the following poem attributed by some to Pastor Martin Niemöller, who at first supported Hitler’s rise to power and then joined a group of clergy who opposed him.
First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a communist;
Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist;
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist;
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew;
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak out for me.

These news organizations don’t have any idea what they’re in bed with right now. Ah, you know, let me speak to the good journalists out there, because, I believe there are a few. Those journalists who are at NBC, or ABC, or CBS, or CNN. I know decent journalists over at CNN.
Ask yourself this question: When they’re done with Fox, and you decide to speak out on something. The old, “first they came for the Jews, and I wasn’t Jewish.” When you have a question, and you believe that something should be asked, they’re a — totally fine with you right now; they have no problem with you.
When they’re done with Fox and talk radio, do you really think they’re going to leave you alone if you want to ask a tough question? Do you really think that a man who has never had to stand against tough questions and has as much power as he does, do you really believe that after he takes out the Number 1 news network, do you really think that this man is not going to turn on you, that you in your little organization is going to cause him any hesitation at all not to take you out?
If you believe that, you should open up a history book because you’ve missed the point of many brutal dictators, you, you’ve missed the point on how they always start.

Look Glenn, and I know you read this you little egomaniac, your assertion that Obama is coming after you is just about the most delusional thing you’ve belched to date. Nobody is after you, Glenn, except a few of us who just want to make sure that the most outrageous crap you say doesn’t ever go away. The White House never said anything even remotely similar to what you claim it said, and no sane person would ever agree with your cracked interpretation of it. What they said was that Fox is an entertainment and opinion network, not a news network, and that it functions as part of the GOP. Nobody said anything about shutting you down, or shutting you up. God help you if that were to happen, you’ve got so much anger and delusion inside you that if you didn’t get it into a microphone you’d probably explode.
Now you like to play fast and loose with the Holocaust. Don’t be too surprised if you start getting some backlash on this. Your crappy little shows have nothing to do with the Holocaust, and nothing the White House said does either. You better just leave the Jews out of this, no good can come of it. If you don’t, the wards, or the states, or the Presiding Bishopric, the First Quorum of the Seventy, the Patriarch, the Twelve Apostles, or the First Presidency himself, or some hidden office of the cracked Mormon theocracy might come after you themselves.
Who knows, the Mormon Church may wise up one of these days and dump you. Wow, that would be annoying, but perhaps you could find another group to take you in. The Wiccans?

I never knew much about this Beck guy except for what I have read about him at Huffington, and then I found this here site a few weeks back.
So, I then decided to start watching this Beck guy myself when I started working the 4-12 shift which allows me a little daytime TV here on the left coast.
I found Beck a bit emotional far too often than I can stomach.
Nonetheless, my watching his program had nothing to do with his emotional state. My singular intent was to identify all this lying I read about that Beck seems to have been guilty of.
I must apologize here as I was not able to match much of Beck’s dialogue on any particular subject matter with his (alleged) lies.
I did my own research into a few of his rants and found his info to be spot on.
Particularly on Van Jones, Beck was right on the money. I kinda figured he was, otherwise Jones would still be at his appointed job, no? I truly doubt our good President would have folded under the pressure of some blow hard like Beck.
Other issues too I found Beck to be irritatingly accurate, though i did not like it much.
This has sort of been a tough one for me, and it truly was an eye opener.
That said, I can’t watch the guy for long. Too dramatic for me!

Well, for someone who claims to have watched Beck you’re not posting like you’re very perceptive or handy with the facts.
You really, REALLY ought to read more information about Van Jones before you use phrases like “spot on” to describe Beck’s lies about him. To believe Beck’s lies about Van Jones, you would also have to believe that Beck snorts coke, screws anything that moves, drinks himself into oblivion, and is a general jerkoff. (Well, some things never change). However, Beck claims to have changed that part of his life.
Do you believe him? He lies about everything else, almost. He lied about Obama being a racist, a socialist, a Marxist, a communist, and turning AmeriCorps into his own Gestapo police force. Are you AWARE of that lie? Or do you just hear what you want to hear? I think the latter.
Regarding Van Jones. Van Jones repudiated his membership in STORM. It’s not even so much the membership in a group like that, which I know full well is waaaaay beyond your understanding. It’s his belief that the basic approach of STORM was on the wrong track. Do you GET that?
Glenn Beck says that Van Jones IS a communist. That’s a lie. You may be able to win an argument that Van Jones used to be a communist. But he’s not one now. The fact that he resigned from his job with the Green Jobs group has nothing to do with the truth of whether or not Van Jones IS a commie. He’s NOT a commie. He resigned because of the controversy over his past activities, not his present ones.
You must not have been paying attention to the last news cycle, Marcus. Nope, I think your intellectual curiosity (or lack thereof) refuses to allow you to understand in any way, shape, or form what the anatomy of a smear campaign is, how it functions, and that Glenn Beck is the current master of smears. Except for one thing… he lies and he gets caught every time because people like me won’t let him off that easy.
